Rosie is thrilled to be a part of the Diaspora Travels family. Having been fortunate enough to have spent time in Tanzania and Togo and studied at the University of Legon in Ghana, Rosie feels a deep connection to and respect for the Continent. Having studied African and US History at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and lived and taught in cities from Oakland to New Orleans, she is passionate about the cultural ties that bind the US to Africa, as seen through food, music, celebratory traditions and beyond.
Her 10 years serving as the Executive Board Secretary for the nonprofit, Ghana Educational Collaborative, has allowed Rosie to stay connected to working with the incredible people of Ghana. Currently in her 11th year of teaching, Rosie is passionate about historical walking tours, Early Childhood Education, social justice, and living as a lifelong learner!
